106th Indianapolis 500 Logo
During the off-season, the IMS Creative team took time to ideate and create possible Indy 500 logos for the 2022 NTT INDYCAR Series. This was my proposed logo. Continuing with the logo system developed in 2019, my logo includes the Indy 500 wordmark, wing & wheel logo, race number, date, and presenting sponsor.
Unique to my logo is the shield-shaped container and the iconic Borg-Warner Trophy illustration in the center, leaning into the race’s history past and the tradition of each Driver getting their name and likeness forever cast on the trophy. While my logo made it to the final round of presentation, key stakeholders decided to go with a different proposed logo as the logo for the 2022 season.
